Our information literacy program is built upon the national standards of the (ACRL) and is designed to support undergraduate learning and Ä¢¹½´«Ã½'s Student Learning Outcomes.
Library instruction is informed by the , which is grounded in six core threshold concepts.

The goal of our program is for information literacy concepts and skills to be embedded across the curriculum with an eye to the following objectives:
- Early introduction: First year students participate in tutorials embedded in their RLTH100 class. These tutorials introduce students to the Framework for Information Literacy, and give them foundational tools for thinking about, accessing, assessing, using, and creating information.
- Build on freshman level skills via information literacy workshops, activities, and assignments in sophomore and junior level courses.
- Integrate advanced information literacy skills and concepts to coincide with research-intensive papers in capstone courses.
