University Chapel: Dreams for the Living World

University Chapel: Dreams for the Living World

This Thursday at 11:30 a.m. in University Chapel, you are invited to pause from the pace of the day, gather as a community, and enter into a time of reflection as we lift up Dreams for a Living World.

In honor and celebration of Earth Day, we are honored to welcome Dr. Sam Thomas, Professor of Religion, who will guide us in reflecting on our shared calling to care for creation and to participate in the healing of the earth. Through word, prayer, and music offered by the CLU Choir, we will consider what it means to live with reverence, responsibility, and hope in a time of ecological challenge.

Following Chapel, you are invited to remain for a Post-Chapel engagement in the Narthex, where faculty and campus partners will be present for conversation and connection. Representatives will include Dr. Fung and the Seed Garden, Dr. Sam Thomas and Los Padres ForestWatch, Dr. Vic Thasiah and Runners for Open Spaces, and Tracy Moore from Eat for Impact, among others, offering tangible ways to learn, engage, and take part in creation care efforts.

All are welcome as we listen, learn, and imagine a more sustainable and just future together.

This event is part of the Campus Ministry series.
