This session highlights the research of Dr. Megan Fung, who is the recipient of the newly established Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ Faculty Fellowship. This fellowship program was funded by alumna and Board of Regents member Laureen Hill and her husband, Mica. The Hills have a long history of supporting faculty and student excellence in the sciences and this gift is a continuation of their support for Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ for more than two decades. In this presentation, Dr. Fung will discuss her major research goals and her ongoing collaborations with students. Dr. Fung’s research projects are focused on reconstructing past climates on Earth through the use of fossils and geochemistry in ocean sediment cores.
