- Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ receives grant up to $1.2M
The National Science Foundation's Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship Program has awarded Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ up to $1.2 million over five years for a project to encourage STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) majors and STEM professionals to pursue careers in K-12 teaching, especially in high-need school districts.
- Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ receives $1.3M grant
The U.S. Department of Education has approved a five-year grant worth $1,309,430 for Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ to continue the Ronald E. McNair Post-Baccalaureate Achievement Program, which supports students from underrepresented segments of society who want to attain doctoral degrees.
- Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ Upward Bound gets $3.6M
The U.S. Department of Education awarded Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ more than $3.6 million to continue and expand its TRIO Traditional Upward Bound services for high school students in Oxnard, Hawthorne and Lawndale.
- Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ gets its largest NSF grant
Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ received its largest National Science Foundation grant to date — $307,486 for a biologist and her students to study sexual selection in tiny Brazilian squirrel monkeys.
- Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ receives $1.4M federal grant
The U.S. Department of Education has awarded Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ a five-year $1.39 million grant to help lower the high school dropout rate in South Oxnard and increase the number of students who enter and graduate from college.

A Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ senior who studied throughout the former Soviet Union as an undergraduate has received a U.S. Student Fulbright award to return to teach English in Kazakhstan.
- Alumnus receives top-tier Fulbright grant
Erik Fruth of Camarillo has received a Fulbright U.S. Student Study/Research Award, becoming the first Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ applicant to receive the program’s most competitive student fellowship.
- Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ graduate receives Fulbright
A May graduate of Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ who researched Los Angeles’ Mongolian immigrant community for his senior capstone has received a 2015-2016 U.S. Student Fulbright award to teach English in Mongolia.
- CLU Fulbright recipient to teach in Nepal
A graduate of Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ has received a 2014-2015 U.S. Student Fulbright award to teach English in Nepal.
- CLU professor receives Fulbright
A Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ faculty member has received a Fulbright Scholar grant to teach at the University of Tokyo and Tsuda College in Japan during the 2014-2015 academic year.
- Third CLU alumnus receives Fulbright
Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ alumnus Chris Kajtor of Canoga Park has received a 2013-2014 U.S. Student Fulbright award to teach in Romania starting in October.
- CLU alumna receives Fulbright award
Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ alumna Elizabeth Calkins has received a U.S. Student Fulbright award to teach in Kenya starting in January.
- CLU grad receives Fulbright teaching post
Ali Sheets, who will visit three continents over the next few months, is the first student at Ä¢¹½´«Ã½ to win a Fulbright teaching assistantship.
