Join the English Department for a celebration of first-year writers and the excellent scholarly work they do as they transition into college writing. This session will feature the announcement of the Koa Prize, which recognizes outstanding academic writing from ENGL 111 students, and the publication of the latest issue of the Gumby Writing Project by the Writing Center, showcasing students’ narratives about the stories they carry into their educational experiences. Come hear their voices, recognize their accomplishments, and support the growing culture of writing at Ä¢¹½´«Ã½.
