Contrabassist and composer Julian Perez presents his 2026 junior recital. An evening of dynamic and diverse music, this program will feature works from some of the great composers of romantic double bass solo literature, in addition to many pieces by the student composer himself. Ranging from soft and evocative piano solos to a full folk band performing original pieces which harken the sound of the Huanyo music of Peru, this is a showcase of bold music that will transport audience members across many avenues of genre, style, and emotion.

The event is free to attend and will be held on-campus on Sunday, May 10th from 7:30-8:00pm in Samuelson Chapel. All are encouraged and invited to enjoy this eclectic evening of unforgettable music.
